Building a global community of social entrepreneurs
Impact Hub is a global network of over 70 innovation labs-cum-business incubators that give social entrepreneurs a shared workspace to grow their companies in. With more than 11,000 members worldwide, it's able to bring together people from around the planet – fostering collaboration between businesses to make a social impact. The hubs themselves are locally owned and run, responding to the unique demands of their users to create visually impressive spaces that encourage new ways of working.
Directors and board members often feel remote from the shop floor. Not Richard. He was part of the team that turned an empty warehouse next to one of London's grimiest stations into the bustling, bright place that is Impact Hub King's Cross – kick-starting the global network in the process. As well as his global duties, Richard mentors entrepreneurs to give them the benefit of his experience leading global FMCG and drinks marketing for P&G and as CEO of InBev.
