Leading the growth of Berlin’s social entrepreneurs
The company
Impact Hub Berlin is the German capital's outpost of the Impact Hub network. Nele was part of the core team who developed the hub from prototype space to its current super-successful guise. The Berlin hub is a lynchpin of the city's social entrepreneurial community, and has been hailed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel as a model of achievement and innovation in business.
Background
Nele has always had an interest in socially aware businesses. Before founding Impact Hub Berlin, she spent time as a student assistant in Department of Sustainable Corporate Governance at the Institut für Ökologische Wirtschaftsforschung. She then lead the Big Jump Challenge 2012 campaign at Ernst Moritz Arndt Universität, increasing the political participation of young people in the field of water protection.
